Freshman/Sophomore Girls Basketball -- Dec. 15

TEUTOPOLIS -- Effingham St. Anthony edged Teutopolis in freshman/sophomore girls basketball action Tuesday.

The Wooden Shoes took an 8-6 opening quarter lead but St. Anthony came back to knot the score at halftime 12-12. The Bulldogs edged ahead 21-20 going into the final quarter then had a slight 10-9 final period.

Abby Weis led the winners with 11 points while Meg Richards added eight. T-town was led by Julia Frey with eight and Shanna Niebrugge with seven.
