Casey-Westfield Beats BSE in Girls Basketball

CASEY -- Casey-Westfield High School edged Brownstown/St. Elmo 49-45 in girls basketball action Tuesday evening.

The Warriors took a 13-11 opening quarter lead but BSE came back with a 10-8 run to tie the score at halftime, 21-21. BSE then moved ahead 35-32 going into the final quarter. But Casey-Westfield came back with a 17-10 run to edge the Bombers.

Darian Morgan led the Warriors with 15 points and Chelsea Cox added 14. Casey-Westfield improves to 8-5 on the season.

BSE was led by Gabi Moore with 16 and Dana Shelton with 10. Emily Bone pulled down 13 rebounds. Moore had four assists and three steals.
