Teutopolis Junior High School claimed its own Class 7-3A Girls Basketball Regional Wednesday.
The Wooden Shoes edged out to a 9-4 opening quarter lead on Vandalia then went on for a 36-24 victory to win the regional championship.
Carly Michels tallied 22 points for the winners. The Shoes improve to 15-8 and will compete in the Marshall Sectional Wednesday against Jasper County at 6:30 p.m.
