OLNEY -- Effingham High School's freshman girls basketball squad nabbed a 42-27 win over Olney in action Monday evening.
The Hearts took a 16-7 opening quarter lead and led 27-17 at halftime. Kuhlman tallied 15 for the Hearts while Herboth added eight.

Teutopolis traveled to Robinson and trailed the Maroons 13-10 after the opening quarter. But the Shoes came back with a 14-4 second period surge and finished out taking a 40-24 victory.
Three players hit double figures, Julia Frey with 12, Savannah Grimes with 10 and Morgan Mette with 10.
