NEOGA -- Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor picked up a first round win in the Class 7-2A Neoga Girls Basketball Regional Saturday.
SSW beat Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick 31-13. Stew-Stras/Windsor held a 17-4 halftime lead. Megan Nichols tallied 13 to lead the winners. The squad improved to 14-7 on the season. SSW advances to the championship game Tuesday at 6 p.m.
BCCH was led by Madison Cherry with seven points.
In the opening game, Brownstown/St. Elmo defeated Neoga 38-14. BSE then moved on to face Altamont and fell 34-22.
Altamont and Stew-Stras/Windsor will meet for the championship Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Class 2A Effingham St. Anthony Regional
St. Anthony and North Clay (Louisville) claimed victories Saturday.
The Bullpups, seeded No. 1, trounced fourth-seeded Oblong 25-8 in the opening contest.
In the second game, North Clay, seeded second, bounced third-seeded Palestine 29-13.
St. Anthony now faces North Clay tonight for the regional championship at 6:30.
Class 7-3A Teutopolis Regional
Cumberland edged Shelbyville Moulton in opening round play Saturday, 16-13.
Cumberland advances to face Teutopolis Tuesday at 6 p.m. The second game that night will feature Pana squaring off against Vandalia at 7:15 p.m.
Class 7-3A Marshall Regional
Jasper County advanced from opening round play Saturday. Jasper County picked up a 25-14 win over Edwards County (Albion).
In the opening game, Red Hill (Bridgeport) edged Casey-Westfield 29-27. Lawrenceville Parkview then bounced Robinson Nuttall 43-7.
Marshall will face Red Hill at 6 p.m. today followed by Jasper County taking on Lawrenceville Parkview at 7:15 p.m. The winner advances to the championship game Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Class 7-4A Charleston Regional
Mattoon advanced in the Charleston Regional. Mattoon defeated Urbana 33-6 Saturday.
Mattoon will now face Charleston at 6 p.m. today followed by Effingham taking on Champaign Edison at 7:15 p.m. The winners meet Tuesday for the regional championship.
