Teutopolis Junior High School came calling and claimed two wins over Effingham in boys basketball action Thursday.
T-town was a 57-38 winner in the seventh-grade contest. T-town held a 9-7 opening quarter lead then pushed into a 22-14 halftime lead.
Deters tallied 21 and Addis 13 to lead the winners. The Mustangs were led by Wolfe with 12 and Duncan with 10.
In the eighth-grade game, T-town was a 30-14 winner. The Shoes had a 10-6 opening quarter run and held the Mustangs scoreless in the second period.
Hardiek led the Shoes with eight points. Thompson led Effingham with six.

At Effingham
Effingham St. Anthony played host to Newton St. Thomas and picked up a 19-12 B game victory Thursday.
The Bullpups held a 6-5 first half lead then had a 13-7 second half run.
Nuxoll scored eight and Wiedman seven for the winners. St. Thomas was led by Schafer with seven.

At Sigel
Sigel St. Michael defeated Altamont in both games Thursday evening.
The Sharpshooters won the seventh-grade contest 35-23. St. Michael held 15-12 lead at halftime and led by just a point going into the final quarter. St. Michael then had a 14-3 run to pull out the victory.
Ruholl scored eight for the winners. Altamont was led by Cripe and Abendroth with eight each.
In the eighth-grade game, Altamont had a 14-4 opening quarter run and held an 18-15 halftime lead. Altamont still led 29-22 going into the final quarter. St. Michael came roaring back with a 17-3 final period run, that included nine free throws made, to pull out the 39-32 win.
K. Fearday scored 13 for the winners. Altamont was led by Kollmann with 14.

North Clay (Louisville) nabbed two victories over Dieterich Thursday.
North Clay was a 50-14 winner in the seventh-grade contest. Hunzinger and Kuhl provided the one-two scoring punch for the winners with 17 and 13 points respectively. Dieterich was led by Kaleb Anthony with 10.
In the eighth-grade contest, North Clay won 44-21. North Clay jumped out to a 26-9 halftime lead. Jones tallied 16 and Bible 10 for the winners. Dieterich was led by Collin Hartke with seven.

Jasper County dropped two defeats to Lawrenceville Thursday evening.
Lawernceville claimed the seventh-grade contest 50-35 with a quick 22-14 first quarter lead. Evan Schafer led Jasper County with eight points.
In the eighth-grade game, Lawrenceville edged Jasper County 37-35. Jasper County held an 18-15 halftime lead and still led 25-23 going itno the final quarter. Lawrenceville came back with the win. Jarrett Tharp led Jasper County with 16 points.
