Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick Junior High School picked up two victories over Shelbyville in girls basketball action Tuesday evening.
BCCH easily won the seventh-grade game, 34-16. Carsen Burks scored 14 and Madison Cherry 12 for the winners who improve to 14-3 on the season.
In eighth-grade play, BCCH squeaked out a 29-28 win to improve to 10-7. BCCH held a 19-5 first half lead. Shelbyville came back with a 12-8 third quarter run and outscored BCCH 11-2 in the final quarter to almost pull out the win.
Jaelyn Robertson and Kylee Wheeler scored eight points each for BCCH.

At Strasburg
Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor claimed two wins over Ramsey. SSW moved its seventh-grade record to 11-7 on the season with a 25-12 win.
Eight players scored for the winners led by Megan Nichols with five.
In eighth-grade action, SSW won 32-20 and is now 4-13 on the season. Hayes scored 11 and Davis eight for the winners.
