Dieterich Meet Movin' Maroons Night Friday

Dieterich High School will have its annual “Meet the Movin’ Maroons” night Friday, November 13.

Pre-game music will be provided by the Dieterich High School band starting at 5:40 p.m.  The high school chorus will sing the National Anthem at 6 p.m. followed by the school song being performed by the cheerleaders and dance team.  The high school girls’ basketball team will be introduced. At 6:10 the Dieterich cheerleaders will be introduced followed by a performance.

At approximately 6:15 p.m., the boys’ basketball team will be introduced. The freshman/sophomore boys’ team will scrimmage at 6:20 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m. the dance team will be introduced followed by a performance.  At 6:35 p.m. Richard Thomas, the Dieteich Athletic Hall of Fame inductee will be introduced and then at 6:50 p.m. the boys’ varsity team will scrimmage.

The cost of admittance to the Meet the Movin’ Maroons night is a personal hygiene item to be donated to the U.S. Veterans at the Danville VA Hospital. A list of requested items can be found on the Dieterich web page. The senior class will host a soup supper from 4-7 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

Schedule of Meet the Movin' Maroons Night

4-7 p.m. -- Senior Class Soup Supper in cafeteria (menu includes:  chili and chicken noodle soup, peanut butter sandwiches, dessert, and drink (free will donation)

5:40 p.m. -- Pre-game (music provided by the high school band)

6 p.m. -- National Anthem sung by members of the DHS Choir

6:03 p.m. -- School Song (Cheerleaders/Dance Team)

6:05 p.m. -- Introduction of the Girls Basketball Team (Donetta Ohnesorge/Mary Miramontes)

6:10 p.m. -- Introduction of the Cheerleaders with performance (Kim Lane)

6:15 p.m. -- Introduction of the Boys Basketball Team (Jeff Staser/Sam Thoele)

6:20 p.m. -- Freshman/Sophomore Scrimmage (10 minute scrimmage)

6:30 p.m. -- Introduction of Dance Team with performance (Miss Jenna Ruholl)

6:35 p.m. -- Richard Thomas – Dieterich Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee

6:50 p.m. -- Varsity Scrimmage (3 minute pre-game – 12 minute scrimmage running clock)

Approximately 7:05 p.m. -- Dismissal (Please exit the gym in a timely manner so the high school boys can begin practice.)
