Effingham Sacred Heart and St. Peter Lutheran picked up a win each in boys junior high school basketball Monday evening.
The Shamrocks won the seventh-grade game 37-10. Ty Feldhake led in scoring with eight points. St. Peter was led by Magnus with four.
In eighth-grade action, St. Peter Lutheran claimed a 30-21 win behind the scoring of Bahde with 20 points. The Shamrocks were led by Will Swingler with six.

At Sigel
Effingham St. Anthony picked up a 33-19 seventh-grade victory over Sigel St. Michael Monday.
The Bullpups held a 21-8 halftime lead. Walsh tallied 14 while Moore added six for the winners. St. Michael was led by Hotze with seven points.
In the eighth-grade contest, St. Anthony claimed a 41-27 victory. The Bullpups broke an 11-11 first quarter tie with a 9-2 second period run. Hoene scored 16 and Dust 11 for the winners.
St. Michael was led by Walk and Cornell with nine each.

Teutopolis claimed two wins over Mattoon. The Shoes won the seventh-grade contest 42-13 with a 17-3 first quarter lead.
Koester led the Shoes with 16 points.
In eighth-grade play, T-town edged Mattoon 38-31. T-town held a 13-9 first half lead and led 24-19 going into the final quarter. Tabbert tallied 15 and Huber 10 for the Shoes.
