Cumberland, Capital Classic Tourney Schedules Released

Schedules have been released for the Cumberland Thanksgiving Boys Basketball Tournament and the Capital Classic Tournament.

Five area teams will be competing in the Cumberland Tournament and those include Altamont, Dieterich, Neoga, Newton and host Cumberland.

In Pool A are Altamont, Paris, Charleston and Neoga and those teams will be playing in the junior high school gym. In Pool B are Dieterich, Newton, Cumberland and Chrisman and those teams will be competing in the high school gym.

The tournament opens play Monday, November 23 and will finish out Saturday, November 28.

Monday, November 23

Game 1 -- Altamont vs. Neoga, 6 p.m.

Game 2 -- Dieterich vs. Chrisman, 6 p.m.

Game 3 -- Paris vs. Charleston, 7:30 p.m.

Game 15 -- Second Place Pool A vs. Second Place Pool B, 6 p.m. (Third Place)

Game 16 -- First Place Pool A vs. First Place Pool B, 7:30 p.m. (Championship)

Teutopolis will be competing in the Capital Classic Tournament at Lawrenceville and Bridgeport (Red Hill).

The tournament will be played Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28. In Friday action at the Red Hill site, Red Hill will take on Mount Carmel at 11 a.m. with Teutopolis facing Olney at 12:30 p.m. T-town will then meet Mount Carmel at 6 p.m. with Olney against Red Hill at 7:30 p.m.

The Shoes will face Red Hill at 10 a.m. Saturday.
