Effingham St. Anthony claimed the championship of its own Seventh-Grade Boys Basketball Tournament Saturday.
The Bullpups won its opening contest over Ramsey, 38-8. St. Anthony stepped out to a 19-4 opening quarter lead and never looked back. Walsh scored 13 and Antrim eight for the Bullpups.
In the championship game, St. Anthony was a 32-6 winner over St. Elmo/Brownstown. The Bullpups held a 19-6 first half lead then held SEB scoreless in the second half.
Walsh tallied 12 points and Antrim six for the winners.
Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor captured third place. SSW fell to St. Elmo/Brownstown 34-17 in the opening contest. SEB held a 24-8 first half lead. Rosborough scored seven and Maxey six for the winners. Wernsing led SSW with nine.
In the third place contest, SSW was a 24-21 winner over Ramsey. Ramsey led 13-6 at halftime and 19-11 going into the final quarter. Stew-Stras/Windsor came roaring back with a 13-2 final quarter lead for the win.
Wernsing tallied 18 for the winners. Ramsey was led by Lay with eight.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis played host to Lawrenceville Parkview and Centralia Satudray in junior high action.
In the seventh-grade contest, T-town claimed a 53-23 win, outscoring Parkview 31-15 by halftime. The Shoes were led by M. Deters with 16 and Addis with 11.
In eighth-grade play, T-town claimed a 41-19 win over Parkview. T-town held Parkview scoreless in the second inning for a 24-7 halftime lead. The Shoes were led by Hardiek with 12 points.
In the seventh-grade contest against Centralia, T-town picked up a 54-20 win. The Shoes led 30-14 at halftime then had a 20-4 third quarter run. M. Deters tallied 26 for the Shoes.
In eighth-grade action, the Shoes claimed a 38-30 win. Centralia took a 12-9 first half lead. T-town came back with a 29-18 second half run. Hemmen scored 17 and Ungrund 15 for the winners.

At Central City
North Clay (Louisville) eighth-graders fell to Selmaville in the Central City Shootout Saturday.
Selmaville stepped out to a 13-5 first quarter lead and led 17-13 at halftime. Selmaville held a four point lead going into the final quarter when North Clay mounted a comeback but fell short.
North Clay was led by Ethan Bible with 13 points.
