Effingham Junior High School nabbed two wins over Effingham St. Anthony in girls basketball competition Thursday.
The Mustangs won the seventh-grade game 24-15. EJHS held a 13-6 halftime lead and outscored the Bullpups 5-3 in the final quarter.
Diveley tallied 13 for the winners who improve to 10-3. Ouy led St. Anthony with five points.
In eighth-grade play, Effingham edged St. Anthony 15-13. EJHS held a 9-7 halftime lead and went into the final quarter ahead 13-9.
Krouse tallied nine for the winners. Beasley led St. Anthony with eight.

At Strasburg
Stewarsdon-Strasburg/Windsor and Shelbyville split victories Thursday evening. SSW won the seventh-grade game 32-16 and now stands at 10-7 on the season.
Megan Nichols scored eight to lead the winners.
In eighth-grade action, Shelbyville picked up a 42-18 win. Hayes led SSW with six points as the squad fell to 1-13.

At Altamont
Altamont picked up two victories over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick.
Altamont was a 31-20 winner in seventh-grade play. Goeckner tallied 11 and Runge 10 for the winners. Carsen Burks led BCCH with nine points.
In eighth-grade play, Altamont claimed a 26-22 win. Altamont stepped out to a 20-6 halftime lead and never looked back.
Guse led the winners with 18 points. Jaelyn Robertson and Kylee Wheeler scored eight points each for BCCH.

Jasper County picked up a 22-14 win over Oblong in seventh-grade competition Tuesday evening.
Jasper County jumped out to a 13-0 first quarter lead. Madison Blake tallied eight points for the winners.
In eighth-grade action, Jasper County again held Oblong scoreless in the opening quarter, taking a 7-0 lead and went on for a 24-11 victory.
Allison Harris and Josie Grunloh had five points each.
