Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick Junior High School claimed an easy seventh-grade win but just edged Dieterich in eighth-grade girls basketball play Monday evening.
BCCH nabbed a 32-7 win in the seventh-grade contest. BCCH held a 17-3 halftime lead. Madison Cherry led nine players that scored for the winners with nine points. Boerngen led Dieterich with three points. BCCH is now 3-1 in the National Trail Conference, 10-2 overall.
In the eighth-grade game, Dieterich led 15-11 at halftime. The score was tied at 21-21 after three quarters before BCCH had an 8-7 final quarter edge for the 29-28 victory.
Lauren Wojcik tallied 11 points for the winners. BCCH improves to 2-2 in the NTC, 6-3 overall. Dieterich was led by Mahnke with eight points.

At Bridgeport
Marshall claimed a seventh-grade vicctory over Jasper County in the Conference Tournament Monday evening, 29-24.
Marshall stepped out to a 10-4 opening quarter lead and held Jasper County scoreless in the second quarter. Compton tallied 14 for the winners.
Jacey Parr led Jasper County with eight. The squad will now face Lawrenceville at 6 p.m. Wednesday for third place.
