ALTAMONT -- Altamont Junior High School nabbed two girls basketball wins Wednesday evening.
In the seventh-grade contest, Altamont scored a 43-10 victory. Altamont held a 33-6 halftime lead. McManaway scored 14 points while Goeckner added 10 in the win.
In eighth-grade action, Atlamont edged Vandalia 26-25. Vandalia held a 15-8 first half lead and led 23-16 in the third quarter. Altamont made a big comeback with a 10-2 fourth quarter run to pull out the victory.
Guse scored 13 points, knocking in two three-pointers in the final period.

At Louisville
North Clay defeated South Central in eighth-grade competition 42-16.
In the seventh-grade contest, North Clay was a 19-16 winner.
