For the Houston Rockets, Thursday night’s 108-101 victory over the Dallas Mavericks was about playing with poise, holding people accountable and making things happen on the court.

After the Rockets trailed 55-47 at halftime, in which they shot 37 percent from the floor, the players gathered together to fix some things.

“At halftime we came in here and we talked to each other,” Dwight Howard said after scoring eight points in 18 minutes. “I think in the first half, everybody was standoffish a little bit, so we came back out in the second half and we talked and we got a good win.”

Cavaliers 114, Heat 88

Dwayne Wade's left knee is only sore, nothing seriously damaged. Miami's playoff push hobbles along. Wade bruised his knee in the first half, but the Heat's postseason chances may have avoided a devastating blow despite a 114-88 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night. Wade got hurt in the second quarter and Miami, which has been ravaged by injuries this season, didn't have the firepower to stop the Cavs, who got 23 points apiece from LeBron James and Kyrie Irving and won their 17th straight at home.

Warriors 107, Suns 106

Harrison Barnes made two huge defensive mistakes in the final minute. He redeemed himself and the Golden State Warriors with one big shot. That's just how things have gone for Golden State this season. Barnes hit a running shot in the lane with less than a second remaining, lifting the Warriors to a wild 107-106 win over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night.
