Several Area Coaches Earns IBCA Coach of Year Awards

Several area coaches earned Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year awards.

Dieterich High School's Jeff Staser was named in Class 1A. Also in Class 1A was Jason Hanson, former Neoga coach, who took Casey-Westfield to a regional championship.

Joseph Eddy, the Patoka coach was also named.

In Class 2A, Teutopolis High School's Andy Fehrenbacher was named. Also named were Kevin Roy of Monticello and Randy Bishop of Lawrenceville.

In the girls Class 1A, Nancy Stiff of Arcola High School was named.

In Class 2A, Todd Countryman of Flora was named.

In Class 3A, two Apollo Conference coaches were named, Janet Holst of Salem and Jeff Miller of Charleston.

Lori Blade of Edwardsville, earned the honors in Class 4A.
