Parkland Reaches National Championship Game

The Parkland College Lady Cobras will play for the NJCAA Division II women's basketball national championship tonight.

Parkland defeated Monroe Community College, 78-62, Friday night to reach the championship game.

Effingham High School graduate Josie Zerrusen started for the Lady Cobras and scored 11 points for the third straight postseason game.

Parkland is now 35-1 on the season and is the #1 rated team in the nation in Junior College Division II women's basketball.
