The Effingham High School Student Council recently sponsored a Red Out Game during the boys varsity basketball game February 20. Students and fans were able to purchase Red Out T-shirts.

Basketballs, autographed by the boys and girls varsity basketball teams, were raffled off. Chad Thompson won the boys team basketball and Phil Webster won the girls team basketball.

A Miracle Minute was held during the game, where student council members raced through the stands to collect monetary donations. And a half-court hoop shoot contest was held during halftime of the varsity game. All proceeds from these activities have been donated to the American Heart Association to help in the fight against heart disease.
