Newton, South Central Drop Boys Losses

NEWTON -- Brock Mammoser tallied 24 points but Newton High School dropped a 66-56 boys basketball loss to Casey-Westfield Saturday.
The Warriors held a 34-23 halftime lead and had four players finish in double figures. Newton had the lone player in double figures.
Newton will take on Flora in the first round of the Lawrenceville Regional.

At Sandoval
Sandoval rallied from a five-point halftime deficit with a 10-4 third quarter run and went on to edge South Central 49-43 Saturday.
The Blackhawks held a 16-9 opening quarter lead before Souith Central came back with a 16-4 run to lead 25-20 at halftime.
Williams led the winners with 21 points while Anderson added 13. South Central was led by Drevonte Hill with 16, Brett Harmeier with 12 and Evan Langley with 11. The Cougars drop to 10-17 on the season.
