All-National Trail Conference Girls Basketball Teams Named

The National Trail Conference girls basketball coaches have made the following selections to the All-Conference Basketball Teams for the 2014-15 season.

Named Most Valuable Player was Madison Butler of Neoga. Also named to the First Team were Megan Nuxoll (Effingham St. Anthony), EC Thies (Neoga), Mallorie Vahling (Dieterich), Courtney Flach (Dieterich) and Morgan Brown (Brownstown/St. Elmo).

Named to the Second Team were Jaycie Roy (Neoga), Emma Richards (Effingham St. Anthony), Abby Hahn (South Central), Keidron Duckwitz (Altamont), Chandler Ward (Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City), Audriana Pruett (Brownstown/St. Elmo) and Olivia Ott (Neoga).

Honorable Mention went to Brooke Burns (Altamont), Emily Bone (Brownstown/St. Elmo), Kallee Heuerman (Deiterich), Emily McDevitt (St. Anthony) and Morgan Gardewine (St. Anthony).

Neoga won the regular season conference title with a 6-0 record followed by St. Anthony 5-1, Dieterich 4-2, Brownstown/St. Elmo 3-3, Altamont 2-4, South Central 1-5 and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 0-6.

Neoga also claimed the conference tournament championship by beating Dieterich 55-49.

The NTC Coach of the Year award will be announced at the NTC Banquet May 18 at Altamont.
