Westbrook Leads Thunder Past Mavericks, NBA Roundup

(Oklahoma City, OK) -- Russell Westbrook put up 34 points and dished out 10 assists to guide the Thunder to a 104-89 win over the Mavericks at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Serge Ibaka grabbed 22 rebounds to go along with 21 points while Kevin Durant scored just 12 on 4-of-14 shooting.

The victory puts Oklahoma City in eighth place in the Western Conference after being on the outside of the playoff picture all season long. The Mavs shot just 36-percent from the field as they slipped to 36-and-20 on the year. Dirk Nowitzkiscored 14 points and Tyson Chandler logged a 10 point, 13 rebound double-double in the loss.


Clippers Sneak Past Spurs

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Chris Paul scored 22 points and dished out 16 assists helping the Clippers beat the Spurs, 119-115, at the STAPLES Center. DeAndre Jordan went off for 26 points with 18 rebounds, but was 10-for-28 from the free throw line. Jamal Crawford added 26 points off the bench for Los Angeles, which has won three in-a-row. Tim Duncan had a 30-point, 11-rebound, double-double in the defeat. Tony Parker chipped in 21 with 13 assists as the Spurs had a two-game winning streak come to an end.


Bulls Battle Pistons Tonight

(Chicago, IL) -- The Bulls open up the unofficial second half of the season tonight in Motown against the Detroit Pistons. Chicago currently sits in third place in the Eastern Conference at 34-20, 2 1/2 games behind Toronto for the two-seed. The Pistons are two games out of the final playoff spot at 21-33.
