Dieterich Tops Class 1A Boys Basketball Poll

The undefeated Dieterich Movin Maroons moved atop the Class 1A Boys Basketball state rankings this week.

Dieterich, now 27-0, got 14 first place votes, moving up from #2 in the past several polls. Previous #1 Springfield Lutheran dropped to #3 with their first loss of the season after 25 wins. Peoria Christian moved up from #3 to #2 and received two first place votes. Colfax Ridgeview, at 24-1, remained at #4 while Dwight, at 22-4, moved up from a tie for seventh to #5 in this week's poll and got the other two first place votes.

In Class 2A, Teutopolis moved back up a spot to #3 after improving to 23-4 over the past week. The Shoes also got one first place vote. Hales Franciscan is still the top-rated team in 2A with a 22-3 record and 16 first place votes. Rockridge is #2, up from #3 with one first place vote. Nashville dropped from #2 to #4 after picking up their third loss of the season. Chicago Uplift moved up a notch to #5.

In Class 3A, Centralia remains at #6 this week.
