Warriors Hold Off 76ers, NBA Roundup

(Philadelphia, PA) -- It was tougher than expected, but the Warriors still grabbed an 89-84 win over the 76ers at Wells Fargo Center. Steph Curry led the way with 20 points, six assists and five rebounds. Leandro Barbosa added 16 off the bench, while Andre Iguodala chipped in 13 with five boards and four steals.

Golden State has won five of six. Robert Covington knocked down four from deep on his way to a game-high 21 points in the loss. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute tallied 13 and nine boards for Philadelphia, which is 2-and-2 in its last four.


Spurs Beat Pacers For Popovich's 1,000th Win

(Indianapolis, IN) -- Gregg Popovich became the ninth NBA coach to win 1,000 games when the Spurs beat the Pacers, 95-93, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Marco Belinelli knocked down a long two-point jumper from the corner in the closing moments of the fourth quarter to give San Antonio the victory. The Spurs outscored Indiana by 16 in the final 12 minutes.  Belinelli finished with 12 points, while Tony Parter had a team-high 19 with six assists. San Antonio has won three of four. David West filled up the stat sheet with 10 points, 18 rebounds and seven assists in the defeat. Rodney Stuckey led the Pacers with 18 points as they had a three-game winning streak come to a close.


Wizards Rout Magic

(Washington, DC) -- Marcin Gortat racked up 14 points and as many rebounds to lead the Wizards to a 96-80 rout of the Magic at the Verizon Center. John Wall just missed a triple-double with nine points, 10 boards and 10 assists. Rasual Butler scored 15 points off the bench, while Nene netted 14 for the Wizards, who swept the four-game season series.  Evan Fournier had a game-high 18 points off the pine for Orlando, which suffered its 12th loss in 13 games. Nikola Vucevic posted 14 points and eight rebounds in the setback.


Heat Smoke Knicks

(Miami, FL) -- The Heat outscored the Knicks by 18 in the second half on their way to a 109-95 win at AmericanAirlines Arena. Chris Bosh led the way with 32 points and six assists, while Mario Chalmers chipped in 18 points. Miami snapped a three-game losing streak. Carmelo Anthony knocked down his first five shots and finished with 26 points, but did not finish the game for New York.  He left in the fourth quarter with a left knee injury. Amar'e Stoudemire added 14 points and seven boards off the bench as the Knicks lost their fourth straight.


Hawks Hammer Timberwolves

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Al Horford scored 28 points and DeMarre Carroll had 26 as the Hawks hammered the Timberwolves 117-105 at the Target Center. Paul Millsap added 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in Atlanta's third win in four games. Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver chipped in 12 points apiece as all five starters scored in double figures.  Kevin Martin netted 21 points to pace the Wolves, who had their season-best three-game winning streak snapped.  Shabazz Muhammad posted 18 points and eight boards in his return to action, while Andrew Wiggins donated 15 points and six rebounds in defeat.


Bucks Surge Past Nets

(Milwaukee, WI) -- Jared Dudley led the way with 19 points as the Bucks rallied for a 103-97 win over the Nets in Milwaukee. Khris Middleton added 18 points for the Bucks, who trailed by as many as 17 before capturing their seventh win in eight games. O.J. Mayo netted 15 off the bench in the win. Jarrett Jack finished with 26 points and eight assists in Brooklyn's second straight loss. Joe Johnson had 19 points and six assists in defeat.


Jazz Run Past Pelicans

(New Orleans, LA) -- Gordon Hayward collected 32 points, seven rebounds and eight assists to lead the Jazz to a 100-96 win over the Anthony Davis-less Pelicans in New Orleans. Derrick Favors added 18 points and seven boards for Utah, which outscored New Orleans 29-15 in the third quarter en route to its second straight win. Enes Kanter had 14 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Eric Gordon netted 31 for the Pelicans, which has dropped two straight and three-of-four. Davis missed the game with a shoulder injury. Ryan Anderson also didn't play because of a sore right elbow.


Clippers Crush Mavericks

(Dallas, TX) -- DeAndre Jordan racked up 22 points and a career-high 27 rebounds as the Clippers crushed the Mavericks, 115-98, at the American Airlines Center.  Chris Paul posted 25 points, 13 assists and six boards for LA, which snapped its four-game losing streak. Jamal Crawford chipped in with 22 points off the pine in the victory. Charlie Villanueva netted 26 points off the bench to pace the Mavs, who had won five of six coming into the contest. Chandler Parsons recorded 16 points and 12 boards and Dirk Nowitzki scored 18 points in the setback. Monta Ellis left the game with a hip injury, while fellow starter Tyson Chandler exited with a left ankle injury.


Thunder Outgun Nuggets

(Denver, CO) -- Kevin Durant matched a career-high with seven three-pointers on his way to 40 points as the Thunder dumped the Nuggets, 124-114, at the Pepsi Center. Russell Westbrook added 26 points and nine assists for Oklahoma City, which outscored Denver by 20 in the first quarter and held on the rest of the way. Mitch McGary had his second straight double-double, compiling 17 points and 10 rebounds off the bench for the Thunder, who have won four of five.  Wilson Chandler had a team-high 23 points in the loss. Denver dropped its sixth straight despite getting 16 points and 14 rebounds from rookie center Jusuf Nurkic.


Bulls Host Kings

(Chicago, IL) -- The Bulls begin a brief two-game homestand against the Kings this evening. Chicago is coming off Sunday's 98-97 victory over the Magic in Orlando. The Bulls have won their last two and enter tonight's game 32-20 on the season. Tip-off is at 7:00.
