Lakers Edge Bulls In Double-OT, NBA Roundup

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Jordan Hill racked up 26 points and 12 rebounds as the Lakers edged the Bulls 123-118 in double-overtime at STAPLES Center. Wayne Ellington added 23 points for the Lakers, who put an end to their nine-game losing streak. Jordan Clarkson chipped in with 18 points and Carlos Boozer had 16 points and eight boards off the bench in the victory.

All-Star Jimmy Butler dropped in a game-high 35 points for Chicago, which has lost two of three.  Fellow All-Star and former Laker Pau Gasol posted 20 points, 10 boards, six assists and four blocks in his return to LA.  Gasol spent the previous six-plus seasons with the Lakers.


Bucks Blast Magic

(Orlando, FL) -- Jerryd Bayless led seven players in double figures with 19 points off the bench as the Bucks blasted the Magic 115-100 at Amway Center.  Milwaukee snapped a 17-game losing streak at Orlando that dated back to 2004. Jared Dudley and Khris Middleton scored 17 apiece, while John Henson had 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Bucks, who went 2-and-1 on their three-game road trip.

Brandon Knight added 16 points, nine assists, five boards and four steals in the victory. Victor Oladipo netted 21 points and Nikola Vucevic notched 17 points and 14 boards for the Magic, who have lost seven straight and 13 of their last 15. Willie Green donated 16 points off the pine, while Elfrid Payton posted 15 points and six assists in the setback.


Pacers Rock Knicks

(Indianapolis, IN) -- Roy Hibbert hit 9-of-11 shots for 18 points to help the Pacers crush the Knicks, 103-82, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Indiana trailed by seven after the first quarter, but outscored New York by 35 over the next 24 minutes. Rodney Stuckey led the Pacers with 22 points as they have won two of three. Carmelo Anthony posted 18 points in only 25 minutes, while Lou Amundson added 17 in the defeat. New York had won four of its previous five.


Grizzlies Pound Nuggets

(Memphis, TN) -- Zach Randolph racked up 15 points and 17 rebounds as the Grizzlies took down the Nuggets 99-69 at FedExForum. Memphis outscored Denver 26-to-11 in the first quarter, and the rout was on. Jeff Green added 13 points and Marc Gasol had 10 points and seven boards for the Grizz, who have won five straight. Mike Conley sat out his second straight game with a wrist injury. Kenneth Faried and Wilson Chandler led the Nuggets with ten points apiece.  Denver has lost eight of its last nine games.


NBA All-Star Reserves Announced

The NBA is announcing the reserves for the 2015 All-Star Game. Bulls guard Jimmy Butler has been selected to play for the Eastern Conference. Teammate Pau Gasol was already voted in as a starter. The 2015 All-Star Game is Sunday, February 15 at Madison Square Garden.
