Frosh/Soph Girls Basketball -- Jan. 23-24

Effingham High School hosted Taylorville in freshman/sophomore girls basketball play Saturday.

The Hearts fell in the freshman contest 47-28. Barr tallied 11 points for Effingham.

In the sophomore game, Taylorville picked up a 42-35 win over the Hearts. EHS was led by Myers with 11 points.

At Mount Vernon

Teutopolis claimed two wins over Vandalia in freshman/sophomore action Friday evening.

T-town won the opener 64-33. Macy Michels scored 17 and Jolene Bueker 14 for the Wooden Shoes.

In the second contest, T-town was a 55-22 winner. Michels finished with 15 while Bueker added 13 and Bailey Schumacher 10.
