SIGEL -- Four games were contested Saturday in the National Trail Conference Eighth-Grade Boys Basketball Tournament.

In the opening contest, Sigel St. Michael defeated Stewardson-Strasburg 42-14. Zach Wolke tallied 13 for the winners while Mitchell Cornell contributed 10. Adam Borton led Stew-Stras with six.

Altamont edged Windsor 25-20 in the next contest. Altamont had a 10-4 second period run to lead 17-7 at halftime. Windsor came back only to fall short in the second half. Altamont was led by Alek Biggs with 10 points. Beau Bennett and Ben Beck led Windsor with six each.

St. Elmo/Brownstown then edged Dieterich 36-31. Dieterich led 19-9 at halftime before St. Elmo/Brownstown came back with 19-8 third period surge. Philpot and Aderman scored nine points each for the winners. Brummer led Dieterich with 14.

The final game of the day went to Cowden-Herrick over Beecher City 36-27. D. Burks led the winners with 15 points. Stewart led Beecher City with 12.
