Pairings, Seedings Announced for 80th Annual NTC Boys Tournament

The seedings and pairings were announced Saturday morning for the 80th Annual National Trail Conference Boys Basketball Tournament. 

The tourney will be played Monday-Saturday, January 26-31 at Altamont Community High School.

The undefeated and state-ranked Dieterich Movin Maroons are the top seed for this year's tourney. Dieterich was rated #2 in the state in this week's Class 1A State Poll.

St. Anthony earned the #2 seed with Altamont seeded third. Cowden-Herrick got the #4 seed with St. Elmo/Brownstown seeded fifth. South Central is the #6 seed followed by Stew-Stras #7, Beecher City eighth, Windsor ninth and Neoga #10.

The tournament will begin with two games on Monday, the 26th, with Beecher City playing Windsor at 6:15pm, followed by Stewardson-Strasburg vs. Neoga.

The winner of the Beecher City/Windsor game will take on Dieterich at 6:15pm Tuesday, followed by Cowden-Herrick vs. SEB.

The winner of the Stew-Stras/Neoga game will play St. Anthony at 6:15pm Wednesday, followed by Altamont vs. South Central.

The Tuesday losers will play at 6:15pm Thursday, followed by the Tuesday winners.

The Wednesday losers will play at 6:15pm Friday, followed by the Wednesday winners.

The finals are set for Saturday, with the losers of the Monday games playing at 11:30am, then the consolation championship game about 1pm and the third place game at 2:30pm. The championship game will played at 7:30pm Saturday.
