Three Communities Compete To Host State Basketball Tourney

PEORIA -- Three communities are in the running to host the boys state high school basketball tournaments next year.

Both the Peoria Civic Center and State Farm Center in Champaign placed bids for the hoops tourney. Hoffman Estates is making a request for the Class 3A and Class 4A tournaments only.

Peoria held the high school state tourney since the 1994 season. The results will be announced in a couple of months.
