Notre Dame Holds Off UNC, College Basketball

(Chapel Hill, NC) -- Zach Auguste netted 18 points as 12th-ranked Notre Dame held off 17th-ranked North Carolina 71-70 in Chapel Hill. Pat Connaughton added 16 points for the Irish, who improved to 3-0 in ACC play and 15-1 overall. The Irish will host third-ranked Virginia on Saturday.


No. 14 West Virginia 78, Texas Tech 67

Lubbock, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Juwan Staten had 16 points to guide No. 14 West Virginia to a 78-67 victory over Texas Tech on Monday. Devin Williams scored 14 points with six rebounds for the Mountaineers (14-1, 2-0 Big 12), who have won their past seven games. Daxter Miles and Gary Browne each chipped in with 12 points. Devaugntah Williams had 21 points and six rebounds for the Red Raiders (10-5, 0-2), who have dropped four of their last five. Toddrick Gotcher gave 14 points and five boards.


No. 10 Texas Routed By No. 18 Oklahoma

(Austin, TX) -- Javan Felix was the only player in double figures with 13 points as 10th-ranked Texas lost 70-49 to 18th-ranked Oklahoma in Austin. Isaiah Taylor tallied nine points on 4-of-13 shooting for the Longhorns, who fell to 12-3 on the year and 1-1 in Big 12 play. UT travels to Oklahoma State on Saturday.  


Illinois Hosts #9 Maryland Wednesday

(Champaign, IL) -- Illinois will try again for its first Big Ten win of the season Wednesday at home against ninth-ranked Maryland. The Fighting Illini are 0-2 in conference play, with losses to Michigan and Ohio State. Illinois is 10-5 overall. The Terrapins have won seven straight to improve to 14-1.
