Tri-County Tournament Continues

KANSAS -- The Kansas Tri-County Tournament got underway Saturday with eight games on tap.

In the opening contest, Hutsonville/Palestine defeated Westville 40-36.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond then downed Windsor 75-29. ALAH scored the first 18 points of the contest and led 39-13 at halftime. ALAH came out with 22-13 third period run. Windsor was led by Haddock with 10 points.

Tri-County claimed a 61-29 win over Stewardson-Strasburg. Tri-County held a 36-10 halftime lead. Stew-Stras was led by Blythe with seven points.

Paris then defeated Cumberland 38-29. Again the winning team leaped out to a big opening quarter lead 12-2. Shaon led Cumberland with eight points.

Windsor then fell to Westville 63-16. Westville led 42-10 at halftime. Haddock led Windsor with five points.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond downed Hutsonville-Palestine 62-47.

Paris won over Stewardson-Strasburg 77-36. The Tigers pushed ahead 32-16 at halftime. Jones tallied 10 for the Comets.

In the final contest Saturday, Tri-County defeated Cumberland 70-49. Tri-County held a two-point lead at the half then had a 22-9 final period surge. Cumberland was led by Brumleve with 15 and Napier with 13.
