Effingham, Teutopolis Boys Each Post Two Wins Friday

The Effingham Hearts and the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes each posted two wins in first day action Friday at the 2nd Annual Effingham/Teutopolis Christmas Classic.
Effingham used a big second half to defeat Mattoon 61-44 and then held off Chicago Brooks 49-46.
Teutopolis dispatched Charleston 60-38 and then won over Oak Lawn 60-40.
All four games were heard on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com.
In other action Friday at Effingham, Brooks edged Mt. Vernon 50-48 and Mt. Vernon pounded Mattoon 76-53.
In other action Friday at Teutopolis, Chicago Al Raby edged Oak Lawn 62-59 and Al Raby downed Charleston 73-55.
After the first day, Effingham, Teutopolis and Al Raby are each 2-0, Brooks and Mt. Vernon are each 1-1, and Mattoon, Charleston and Oak Lawn are each 0-2.
Today at Teutopolis, Teutopolis plays Al Raby at 10am and Charleston takes on Oak Lawn at 11:30am. Today at Effingham, Mattoon plays Brooks at 10:30am and Effingham takes on Mt. Vernon at noon.
The finals are set for 3:30, 5, 6:30 and 8pm. We'll have the championshp game as well as any other games involving Effingham and Teutopolis on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com. We plan a live video and audio stream on the championship game as well as hearing the game on the radio.
