Okaw Valley Wins Own Girls Tourney, Shelbyville/SS/Windsor Fourth

BETHANY -- Okaw Valley captured the championship of the Okaw Valley Girls Holiday Basketball Tournament Tuesday evening.

Okaw Valley downed Heyworth 55-41 for the title.

Third place went to Chrisman over Shelbyville/Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor, 46-44. Shebyville/SS/Windsor edged out to a 12-10 opening quarter lead. Chrisman came back to lead 24-23 at halftime then had an 11-7 third period run. Shelbyville/SS/Windsor rallied in the final period only to fall a basket short.

Grace Shuler led Shelbyville/SS/Windsor with 13 points. She was named to the All-Tournament Team.

In the consolation championship, Tri-County defeated Oakwood 52-35.
