VIDEO: Lady Shoes Down St. Anthony

The Teutopolis Lady Shoes moved back over .500 Monday night, defeating the St. Anthony Bulldogs, 49-36 in action at the Enlow Center. The game was heard on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com.  

The game was relatively close through three quarters. After St. Anthony led in the early minutes, Teutopolis held a 14-9 lead after one quarter. The Shoes led 24-17 at halftime, and T-Town led 32-23 after three periods. A spurt in the fourth quarter put the Shoes up by 17 points, but St. Anthony whittled the margin down some before losing by 13 points.

Danielle Repking led Teutopolis with 14 points, while Chelsey Hardiek scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds. Also for Teutopolis: Reagan Drees six points with four rebounds, Sara Thoele four points with five rebounds, Jenny McMahon and Shelby Thompson with four points each, Hannah Bueker with three, Jamie Sandschafer two and Michelle Schmidt one.

Megan Nuxoll had a great night to pace St. Anthony with 23 points and eight rebounds. Morgan Gardewine scored nine points, eight in the first half, and Megan McDevitt scored four points...and that was it for the Lady Bulldogs.

Teutopolis hit 50% from the field, 17 of 34, made 15 of 20 foul shots, turned the ball over 10 times, grabbed 17 rebounds and missed three three-point shots. 

St. Anthony hit 32% from the field, 10 of 31, added 14 of 20 from the line, turned it over 14 times, pulled down 20 rebounds, and made two of six three-point tries.

Teutopolis improved to 6-5 on the season, while St. Anthony dropped to 6-5.

Teutopolis won the JV game, 60-32. Shelby Thompson scored 20 points and Molly Smith added 13 points to lead the JV Lady Shoes. Olivia Clausius had nine points to top St. Anthony.
