BROWNSTOWN -- Sigel St. Michael and and Altamont advanced in the winner bracket of the National Trail Conference Seventh-Grade Boys Basketball Tournament Tuesday.

Altamont played Dieterich and captured a 57-26 victory. Altamont edged ahead 10-6 after one period and then pushed into a 29-12 halftime lead.

Kollmann tallied 20 points for the winners while Reardon chipped in with 10. Dieterich was led by Collin Hartke with six.

Iin the second game, Sigel St. Michael claimed a 35-15 win over Stewardson-Strasburg. Stew-Stras led 10-8 at halftime. St. Michael came back with a 29-5 second half run.

K. Fearday scored 14 and C. Walk 11 for the Sharpshooters. Kirby led Stew-Stras with nine.

The tournament continues tonight with Altamont facing Neoga at 6:15 followed by Sigel St. Michael agianst Windsor at 7:30.

At Charleston

Charleston handed Teutopolis two losses in junior high action Tuesday evening.

Charleston edged T-town 33-32 in overtime to claim the eighth-grade contest. Zach Finley led Charleston with two baskets in overtime. He finished with 11 points.

In the B game, Charleston was a 42-19 winner.
