Boys Frosh/Soph Results -- Dec. 4

Effingham captured two victories over Mattoon in freshman/sophomore boys basketball competition Thursday evening.

The Hearts scored a 40-32 win in freshman play. EHS held a 25-23 lead going into the final quarter then had a 15-9 run sparked by Jason Devore's three baskets, including two three-pointers. Devore finished with 14 points to lead the Hearts.

In the sophomore contest. Effingham claimed a 74-56 victory. The Hearts held a 40-22 halftime lead. Trevor Kreke scored 22 and Ryan Sandifer 17 while Mason Hull and Wyatt Keith chipped in with 10 points each.
