ALTAMONT -- Altamont High School handed Cumberland a 62-54 non-conference loss in boys basketball competition Tuesday evening.
The Indians stepped out to a 21-13 first quarter lead as Ryan Armstrong knocked in eight points and Klaiton Wolff chipped in with seven. Altamont led 29-19 at halftime and 40-32 going into the final period.
Wolff finished with 18 points to lead the Indians while Armstrong added 14, Adam Mayhaus 11 and Brandon Hosick 10. Cumberland was led by Shaon with 14, Napier 10 and Bauguss 10.

Beecher City picked up a non-conference win over Ramsey 50-44. Ramsey held a 10-7 opening quarter lead and led 21-17 at halftime. The Eagles then came back with a 16-9 third period run and outscored Ramsey 17-14 in the final period to pull out the win.
Austin Rexroad led in scoring with 14 points while Westen Giles added 12. Daniel Harder led the team in rebounds with 10. Giles had four assists and four steals.

Cowden-Herrick claimed a 53-51 win over Neoga in double overtime Tuesday evening.
The Indians edged out to a 14-13 opening quarter lead and led 26-24 at halftime. Neoga still held a two point lead going into the final quarter. Cowden-Herrick then came back to knot the score, sending the game into the first overtime session. Both teams scored three points. In the second overtime, C-H had a 6-4 run to pull out the victory.
Trevor Easton led Neoga with 18 points. Luke Baker added 11. Cowden-Herrick was led by Burrus with 14 and Blackerby with 12.

Shelbyville held only a 26-25 lead with just over five minutes to play then went on a 12-0 run as Devin Peterson scored 10 points. The Rams went on to tally a 57-38 non-conference victory over Windsor.
Peterson finished with 17 points for the winners. Bart Kennell added 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Windsor was led by Tristan Warner tallied 19 points and seven boards.
