Mavericks Bounce Bulls In Double OT, NBA Roundup

(Chicago, IL) -- The Mavericks pulled out a wild, back-and-forth battle with the Bulls, 132-129, in double-overtime at the United Center. Monta Ellis led the way with 38 points on 35 shots, including three free throws that sent the game to the first OT. Dirk Nowitzki added 22 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds, while Chandler Parsons posted 24. Dallas has won four straight. A Derrick Rose three-pointer off the glass put the game into the second OT. Rose finished with 18 points and 10 helpers. Pau Gasol played 50 minutes and put up 29 points with 14 rebounds for the Bulls, who had won their two previous games.


Cavaliers Battle Past Bucks

(Cleveland, OH) -- LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love carried the Cavaliers to a 111-108 win over the Bucks at Quicken Loans Arena. Irving had a game-high 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting, while Love added 27 with 10 rebounds. LeBron James posted 26 points, 10 assists and five rebounds. Cleveland has matched a season-long winning streak with four consecutive victories. Brandon Knight knocked down five threes on his way to 27 points in the defeat. Jabari Parker compiled 22 points and eight rebounds for Milwaukee, which has lost two in-a-row.


Hawks Hold Off Celtics

(Atlanta, GA) -- The Hawks outscored the Celtics by 20 in the second half to pull out a 109-105 victory at Philips Arena. Kyle Korver led the way, knocking down 6-of-7 from behind the arc on his way to 24 points. Korver added six rebounds and four assists.  Paul Millsap chipped in 19 points, seven helpers and six boards as Atlanta has won five of six. Boston got 47 points combined from Jared Sullinger and Jeff Green. After the Celtics shot 61-percent in the first half, they only made 14-of-40 attempts in the third and fourth quarters. They have dropped five straight.


Hill Leads Lakers Past Pistons

(Auburn Hills, MI) -- Jordan Hill posted 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Lakers past the Pistons 106-96 at The Palace. Kobe Bryant recorded 12 points, 13 assists and five boards for LA, which moved to 5-and-13 with its second straight win. Nick Young chipped in with 19 points off the bench in the victory.  Josh Smith racked up 18 points, 10 boards and six assists to pace the Pistons, who have lost nine in-a-row to fall to 3-15. D.J. Augustin added 13 points off the bench in the setback.


Nets Dump Knicks At MSG

(New York, NY) -- It was another failed comeback attempt for the Knicks as Carmelo Anthony missed a game-tying, three-point attempt in the closing moments of New York's 98-83 loss to the Nets at Madison Square Garden. Brook Lopez posted 23 points and eight rebounds, while Joe Johnson added 22, eight boards and six assists. Brooklyn has alternated wins and losses in its last six games. Anthony finished with 20 points, nine boards and six helpers in defeat. Amar'e Stoudemire put up 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds. The Knicks have lost five straight.


Pelicans Ruin Durant's Return, Beat Thunder

(New Orleans, LA) -- Tyreke Evans scored 30 points to help the Pelicans ruin Kevin Durant's season debut by topping the Thunder 112-104 at the Smoothie King Center. Anthony Davis recorded a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds, and Ryan Anderson chipped in 23 points off the bench. Jrue Holiday also had a double-double, putting up 16 points and 10 assists as New Orleans ended a three-game losing streak. Durant dropped 27 points on 9-of-18 shooting in his first action of the season. Russell Westbrook tallied 21 points and seven assists in a losing effort. Oklahoma City has dropped seven of its last nine.


Suns Use Big Second Half To Beat Pacers

(Phoenix, AZ) -- Goran Dragic dropped in a game-high 34 points as the Suns used a big second half to beat the Pacers 116-99 at US Airways Center. Phoenix outscored Indiana 62-43 after the break. Eric Bledsoe added 27 points and seven assists for the Suns, who avoided their first three-game losing streak of the season. Markieff Morris and Gerald Green both had 15 points in the victory. Roy Hibbert posted 15 points and 10 boards to lead the Pacers, who have dropped three of four. C.J. Miles netted 17 points and C.J. Watson scored 14 in defeat.


Blazers Sink Nuggets In Final Seconds

(Denver, CO) -- Robin Lopez's layup with 1.3 seconds left sealed the deal as the Blazers picked up a 105-103 victory over the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center.  LaMarcus Aldridge went off for 39 points and 11 rebounds, while Damian Lillard tallied 17 points and six assists in the win. Wesley Matthews chipped in 15 points to help Portland to its 11th win in 12 games. Ty Lawson guided Denver with 24 points and 13 assists, while Wilson Chandler totaled 18 points and 10 boards. Aaron Afflalo also scored 18 for Denver, which lost for just the second time in nine games.


Curry, Warriors Sink Magic

(Oakland, CA) -- Steph Curry capped a frantic Warriors comeback, nailing a three-pointer with less than five seconds left to lift Golden State to a 98-97 win over the Magic at ORACLE Arena. The Warriors trailed by nine with just over four minutes to go. Klay Thompson and Curry combined for 14 points to close out the game.  Steph finished with 22 points, five assists and four rebounds, while Thompson added 20 points, six boards and five helpers. Golden State has won 10 in-a-row to improve to 15-2. Victor Oladipo dropped a game-high 27 points in defeat. Kyle O'Quinn added 21 points and 11 rebounds filling in for Nikola Vucevic, who sat out with back spasms. Orlando has lost five-of-six.
