Class 7-2A Palestine Regional

Effingham St. Anthony saw its bid for a regional championship go by the wayside as Neoga edged the Bullpups 21-18 to claim the Palestine Regional championship Tuesday evening.

Neoga stepped out to an 8-2 opening quarter lead and led 15-10 at halftime. St. Anthony came back with a 6-2 run in the third period to trail by just a point, 17-16 going into the final quarter. Neoga then had a 4-2 final period surge.

Sheehan and O. Titus tallied six points each for the winners. Katherine Slaughter led St. Anthony with eight.

Neoga will take on either Altamont or Brownstown/St. Elmo Wednesday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Anthony Sectional. Altamont meets Brownstown/St. Elmo tonight at 6 in the Altamont Regional.

At Palestine

Class 7-3A Casey-Westfield Regional

Jasper County bounced Lawrenceville Parkview 43-8 to win the Casey-Westfield Regional championship Tuesday.

Jasper County held a 24-4 halftime lead. Eliza Bierman and Josie Grunloh scored eight points each for the winners.

Jasper County moves on to face the winner of the Sullivan Regional, Teutopolis at the Cumberland Sectional Wednesday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m.

At Casey

Class 7-3A Sullivan Regional

Teutopolis was an easy winner for the championship of the Sullivan Regional. The Shoes won 35-3 over Shelbyville Moulton.

T-town stepped out to an 18-0 first half lead and never looked back. Olivia Niemerg tallied nine points followed by Alli Brumleve and Claire Bushur with eight each.

T-town is now 24-0 on the season and will face Jasper County Wednesday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m at the Cumberland Secitonal.
