Effingham played host to Olney in freshman/sophomore girls basketball competition Monday evening and claimed a 39-32 victory.
The Hearts held a 20-8 halftime lead then held off a final quarter challenge by the Tigers. EHS was led by Ramos with seven points. EHS improves to 3-0 on the season.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis jumped out to a 22-2 opening quarter lead and never looked back in a 62-8 win over Robinson in freshman/sophomore action Monday evening.
The Wooden Shoes had four players hit double figures. Bailey Schumacher led the way with 14 points while Mary Michels had 12, Shanna Niebrugge 11 and Jolene Bueker 10.
