Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School nabbed a seventh-grade boys basketball win over Neoga Monday evening.
The Bullpups leaped out to a 19-5 opening quarter lead and won 54-19. Hoene tallied 10, Elder nine and Dust eight for the winners. Neoga was led by Roy with nine points.
In the eighth-grade contest, St. Anthony was a 49-13 winner over Neoga. The Bullpups had a 15-2 first quarter lead and held Neoga scoreless in the second period for a 39-2 halftime lead.
Brandenburger led 11 players in scoring with 10 points. Neoga was led by Fletcher with six.

At Dieterich
Dieterich played host to Altamont and fell in both games Monday evening.
In the seventh-grade contest, Altamont claimed a 57-20 victory. Altamont stepped out to an 18-9 opening quarter lead and never looked back.
In eighth-grade action, Altamont was a 35-23 winner. Dieterich held a 17-14 halftime lead but Altamont came back with a 14-4 third period run.
Biggs led Altamont with 17 points. Austin Einhorn led Dietrich with eight.

At Findlay
Stewardson-Strasburg fell to Okaw Valley in two contests Monday evening.
Okaw Valley was a 41-25 winner in seventh-grade action. Okaw Valley held a 25-11 first half lead. Coleman and Nichols tallied 14 each for the winners. Stew-Stras was led by Kirby with 17. Stew-Stras drops to 2-3.
In eighth-grade action, Okaw Valley claimed a 20-17 win. Stew-Stras held an 11-10 first half lead. Okaw Valley led 14-13 going into the final period then had a 6-4 edge for the victory.
Burton led Stew-Stras with 10 points. The squad falls to 1-4.

Flora came calling and captured two wins over Jasper County Monday evening.
Flora was a 25-23 winner in seventh-grade play. Jasper County held a 13-7 first quarter lead and led 15-13 at halftime. Jasper County still held a 19-18 third period lead. Flora came back with a 7-4 final period run. Cox led Jasper County with 11 points.
In the eighth-grade game, Flora picked up a 37-28 win. Flora took a 6-0 first quarter lead and led 22-10 at halftime. Conner Bierman led Jasper County with 14 while Leib led Flora with 12.
