Effingham St. Anthony played host to Effingham in junior high girls basketball Thursday evening and split with the Mustangs.
The Bullpups won the seventh-grade contest 34-10 to improve to 10-5 on the season. Taylor Beesley had a 17 point game for the winners. Effingham was led by Krouse with seven points. The Mustangs drop to 5-8.
In eighth-grade action, Effingham claimed a 39-14 win. The Mustangs held a 28-8 halftime lead. Weis tallied 12 while Fearday and Fox had eight each. The Mustangs are now 12-1 on the season. St. Anthony was led by Meg Richards with nine.

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick and Altamont split victories Thursday evening.
BCCH was a 28-12 winner in seventh-grade action to improve to 3-2 in the National Trail Conference, 9-5 overall. Lauren Wojcik led the winners with 13 points. Guse led Altamont with six.
In the eighth-grade game, Altamont was a 43-14 winner. Mayhaus led the winners with 10 points while Grimsley added seven. BCCH was led by Grace Smith with four points. BCCH drops to 2-3 in the conference, 8-7 overall.

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor captured an eighth-grade win over Shelbyville Moulton, 46-11. Stew-Stras held a 25-4 first half lead and had a 20-4 third period run.
Three players hit double figures for the winners. Schlechte tallied 13, Tabbert 12 and K. Davis 10 as Stew-Stras/Windsor improved to 11-4.
In seventh-grade action, Shelbyville Moulton claimed a 20-15 victory. Moulton broke a 2-2 first quarter tie with a 12-2 second period run. Stew-Stras/Windsor was led by Davis with six points as the squad dropped to 5-11.

Dieterich split victories with Cumberland Tuesday evening. Dieterich was a 24-14 winner in seventh-grade action. Dieterich took a 10-4 first half lead and outscored Cumberland 14-10 in the second half.
A. Bierman tallied 13 for the winners. Oakley led Cumberland with five.
In the eighth-grade game, Cumberland was a 36-19 winner. Dunaway tallied 17 and Napier 10 for the winners. Dieterich was led by Britton with 10.

Jasper County picked up the seventh-grade win over Oblong, 36-14. Josie Grunloh scored 15 points for Jasper County.
In the eighth-grade contest, Oblong claimed a 47-26 win. Jasper County held an 8-6 opening quarter lead but Oblong came back with a 22-6 second period run.
Alison Russell led Jasper County with 12 points.
