Howard Leads Rockets to Win Over Spurs

(Houston, TX) -- Dwight Howard dropped a 32-point, 16-rebound, double-double to lead the Rockets to a 98-81 win over the Spurs at the Toyota Center. James Harden finished with 20 points and Isaiah Caanan added 12 in the victory. Jason Terry went 4-for-5 from downtown and finished with 16 points off the bench for Houston, which is 6-0 for the first time since 1996-97. Cory Joseph led the Spurs with 18 points who were without Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili in the contest. Aron Baynes picked up a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards as San Antonio fell to 2-2.
Blazers Roll Mavericks
(Portland, OR) -- LaMarcus Aldridge scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Blazers to a 108-87 win over the Mavericks at the Moda Center. Damian Lillard put up 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting for Portland, which has won two in-a-row. C.J. McCollum chipped in 13 points off the bench in the victory. Dirk Nowitzki paced the Mavericks with 17 points and Monta Ellis added 14 in defeat. Dallas had its three-game winning streak snapped.
Bulls Battle Sixers
(Philadelphia, PA) -- The Bulls face the 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center tonight. Chicago is 4-1 after its win over Milwaukee on Wednesday. The Sixers are 0-5.
