Effingham Junior High School picked up two girls basketball victories over visiting Casey-Westfield Monday evening.

The Mustangs won the seventh-grade contest 21-12. Effingham held a 10-7 first half lead then had a 6-1 third quarter run. Krouse tallied 14 for the winners who improve to 5-7.

In eighth-grade action, Effingham jumped out to a 19-2 first quarter lead and went on to trounce Casey-Westfield 41-12. Fearday scored 10 for the Mustangs who improve to 11-1.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis captured both victories over Altamont. T-town was a 38-5 winner in the seventh-grade game. T-town took a 24-0 first half lead and never looked back.

Claire Bushur had 14 points and Olivia Niemerg 10 points or the winners who improve to 14-0.

In eighth-grade play, T-town was a 23-16 winner. Emma Deters scored 10 for the winners. T. Mette scored 10 for Altamont. T-town is now 10-4.

At Teutopolis

At Sullivan

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick and Sullivan were both winners. In the seventh-grade contest, BCCH was a 16-5 winner. Lauren Wojcik tallied nine for the winners who are now 7-3 overall.

In eighth-grade play, Sullivan downed BCCH 28-18. Sullivan had an 18-10 halftime lead. BCCH was led by Tabitha Endsley with six points. BCCH improves to 8-5.

At Findlay

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor edged Okaw Valley 17-15 in seventh-grade competition Monday evening.

Bennett scored eight for the winners who held a 9-6 halftime lead and led by a point going into the final quarter. Stew-Stras/Windsor improves to 4-10.

In eighth-grade action, Stew-Stras/Windsor bounced Okaw Valley 36-6 to improve to 9-4. Davis led the winners with nine points while Tabbert added eight and Schlechte seven.

Jasper County and Dieterich split victories Monday evening.

Jasper County was a 46-23 winner in seventh-grade play. Josie Grunloh tallied 11 points for the winners.

In eighth-grade action, Dieterich claimed a 40-33 win. Roberts scored 12 and Vahling 10 for the winners. Alison Russell scored 14 for Jasper County.
