FLORA -- Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School picked up two girls basketball victories over Flora Tuesday evening.
The Bullpups won the seventh-grade contest 30-4 to improve to 7-5 on the season. Taylor Beesley led the winners with eight points.
In eighth-grade play, St. Anthony held a 19-8 first half lead and went on for a 45-16 win. Two players hit double digits for the winners. Shae Kinkelaar led with 14 and Meg Richards contributed 12 as the Bullpups are now 8-2.

At Olney
Teutopolis picked up two victories over Olney in action Tuesday evening.
T-town won the seventh-grade encounter 38-17 to remain unbeaten at 13-0 on the season. Olivia Niemerg scored 17 for the winners.
In eighth-grade action, T-town was a 39-35 winner in overtime. T-town trailed Olney 16-14 at halftime then had a 10-6 third quarter run to pull ahead 24-22. Olney then tied the score in the fourth quarter, sending the game into overtime where T-town had a 7-3 run to pull out the victory.
Claire Bushur had nine points for the winners who improve to 9-4 on the season.
