St. Anthony Releases Turkey Tourney, Shootout Schedules

Effingham St. Anthony High School released the boys basketball pairings for both its Turkey Tournament in November and Shootout in January.

The Turkey Tournament will run from Monday, November 24 through Saturday, November 29. In Pool A are St. Anthony, Mattoon, Champaign St. Thomas More and Effingham. In Pool B are Clifton Central, Breese Central, Robinson and Mount Zion.

There will be two games Monday with three on Tuesday and Wednesday and four on Friday and Saturday.

Monday, November 24

Game 1 -- Robinson vs. Mount Zion, 6 p.m.

Game 2 -- St. Anthony vs. Mattoon, 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, November 25

Game 3 -- Mount Zion vs. Breese Central, 5 p.m.

Game 4 -- Effingham vs. Champaign St. Thomas More, 6:30 p.m.

Game 5 -- Clifton Central vs. Robinson

Wednesday, November 26

Game 6 -- Breese Central vs. Clifton Central, 5 p.m.

Game 7 -- Effingham vs. Mattoon, 6:30 p.m.

Game 8 -- St. Anthony vs. Champaign St. Thomas More, 8 p.m.

Friday, November 28

Game 9 -- Mount Zion vs. Clifton Central, 3 p.m.

Game 10 -- Mattoon vs. Champaign St. Thomas More, 4:30 p.m.

Game 11 -- Breese Central vs. Robinson, 6 p.m.

Game 12 -- St. Anthony vs. Effingham, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, November 29

Game 13 -- Pool A No. 4 vs. Pool B No. 4, 3 p.m.

Game 14 -- Pool A No. 3 vs. Pool B No. 3, 4:30 p.m.

Game 15 -- Pool A No. 2 vs. Pool B No. 2, 6 p.m.

Game 16 -- Pool A No. 1 vs. Pool B No. 1, 7:30 p.m.

Then on January 10, St. Anthony will host its Third Annual Shootout at the Enlow Center. Teams participating will be Clay City, Mount Pulaski, Stewardson-Strasburg, Waltonville, Okaw Valey, Dieterich, Casey-Westfield, Troy Triad, Washington, Kankakee Senior, Teutopolis, Decatur Eisenhower, Lawrenceville and the host Bulldogs.

The opening game begins at 10 a.m. with the final game getting underway around 7 p.m.
