76ers Handle Hornets For First Win

(Philadelphia, PA) -- Tony Wroten racked up 15 points, seven assists and six rebounds as the 76ers beat the Hornets 106-92 in preseason action at Wells Fargo Center. Casper Ware netted 14 points and Brandon Davies had 13 points and seven boards for the Sixers, who improved to 1-1. The Sixers take on the Timberwolves Friday in Minnesota.


Celtics Top Knicks

(Hartford, CT) -- Jared Sullinger posted 23 points and five rebounds to carry the  Celtics to a 106-86 win over the Knicks at the XL Center. Kelly Olynyk and Marcus Thornton each had 12 points for Boston, which moved to 2-0 in the preseason. The Celtics take on the Raptors tomorrow night in Toronto.

 

Noah Fined By NBA

(New York, NY) -- Bulls big man Joakim Noah and Wizards forward Paul Pierce have been fined by the NBA. Both were involved in a shoving match during Monday's preseason game. Noah and Pierce were each hit with $15,000 fines. The Bulls continue preseason play Saturday at the Bucks.
