Judge Okays Sale Of The LA Clippers

(Los Angeles, CA) -- The wife of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling says she's happy that a judge is allowing for the sale of the team.

Shelly Sterling made the comment after a judge denied Donald Sterling's attempt to block the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers. The judge in the case said she acted appropriately through the rules of the family trust when she negotiated the sale of the team. Shelly Sterling had agreed to sell the team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for two-billion dollars after she said two doctors found her husband to be mentally unfit.

Lakers Officially Hire Byron Scott

(Los Angeles, CA) -- The Lakers finally have their coach in place. The Purple and Gold announced on Monday they have hired Byron Scott on what according to multiple reports is a four-year, $17-million deal. Los Angeles will also hold a team option on the fourth year of the deal.
