Caitlin Kaufman Presented Queen Of Hill Baskeball

Effingham senior basketball player, Caitlin Kaufman recently received a commemorative award for her competition in the Country Financial Three Point Showdown. From left to right are Effingham head basketball coach, Jeff Schafer, Caitlin Kaufman and Country Financial representative Brad Meinhart.

Meinhart is presenting Kaufman with the ball for her qualifying for the IHSA State final appearance in the Queen of the Hill competition. Kaufman finished in a shoot-off for the final position to shoot in the final four 3A Queen of the Hill competition. She made 7 of 15 shots in the first round and ended round one in a tie with six other shooters. She then made 6 of 10 shots in the tie-breaker round being defeated by the last shooter with that shooters last shot.

She made 71/227 three point shots (31.2%) this season and 185/558 (33.2%) three point shots for her career at Effingham High School. Her 71 three pointers this season and her 185 made three pointers in her career makes her the leader in the EHS girls basketball record book for these two categories.
