Central Illinois All-Star Basketball Game This Saturday

The 21st Annual Central Illinois Boys All-Star Basketball Game, featuring senior basketball players from the National Trail Conference and the Little Illini Conference, will be held Saturday, March 29 at Cumberland High School. Admission is $5.

The boys three-point contest will be held at 7 p.m. and tip-off for the All-Star game will be at 7:30 p.m.

National Trail Conference All-Stars include:

Garrett Ziegler (Altamont), Cole Borders (Altamont), Derek Jahraus (Altamont), Brady Barnes (Beecher City), Tanner Traub (Dieterich), Wyatt Krikie (Neoga), Jake Baker (Neoga), Neil Williams (St. Anthony), Alex Hoelscher (St. Anthony), John Goeckner (St. Anthony), Levi Maxey (St. Elmo/Brownstown), Jacob Behrends (St. Elmo/Brownstown), Brandon Helmuth (Stewardson-Strasburg), Jason Fry (Stewardson-Strasburg) and Alex Allen (Windsor).

Coaches for the NTC team will be Rick Simmons (South Central) and Silas Pogue (Windsor).

Little Illini Conference All-Stars include:

Sam Huisinga (Casey-Westfield), Zack Murphy (Casey-Westfield), Brandon Wolfe (Casey-Westfield), Ethan Leib (Flora), John Casolari (Flora), Pedro Mendoza (Flora), Caleb Chesnut (Newton), Gunner Pickens (Newton), Luke Stone (Newton), Koert Mehler (Oblong), Chance Madden (Olney), Evan Eagleson (Olney), Alec St. Pierre (Olney), Landon Hoagland (Robinson) and Michael Akande (Robinson).

Coaches for the LIC are Phil Leib (Flora) and Curtis Leib.

Officials will be Dave Phipps, Kevin Grigg and Mike Bell. The Central Illinois All-Star Director is Justin Roedl (Cumberland High School).
