Chicago Morgan Park claimed the championship of the Class 3A Boys State Basketball Tournament Saturday at Peoria's Carver Arena.

Chicago Morgan Park defeated Chicago Orr 52-46 in Friday action while Lincoln edged Rockford Lutheran 45-42.

Morgan Park then won over Lincoln 59-49 for the state title Saturday. Chicago Orr beat Rockford Lutheran 55-45 for third place.

In the Class 4A State Tournament Friday, Chicago Whitney Young downed Lincolnshire Stevenson 75-68 and Lisle Benet Academy won over Edwardsville 38-33.

In Saturday's finals, Chicago Whitney Young edged Lisle Benet Academy 46-44 for the championship. Lincolnshire Stevenson won over Edwardsville 70-63 for third place.
